This luxurious charming characteristic pre-war house (build in 1939, 3 houses under one roof) has been fully modernized, with much attention paid to comfort, detail and quality.

The ground floor is about 80 cm higher than street level / front yard and back yard. The ceiling height of the ground floor (2.75 m) together with the many windows allows light to come in creating a very pleasant place to stay. The house is equipped with an alarm.

In front of the house are a wide sidewalk and a (private) yard where one big or two small cars can be parked. Parking in Ouderkerk is for free.
On the ground floor, at the front, is an authentic bay window. Here is the living room with a comfortable lounge sofa, modern high-quality TV and audio equipment. The large teak dining table is the place to eat and drink, to receive company, to work on, etc. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with quality kitchen appliances and cooking gear. At the rear of the house are two doors: a double door that provides access to the backyard and another door to the side-kitchen (washing machine and plenty of storage).

On the first floor, at the front, are the main bedroom with dormer window and a very modern bathroom. The main bedroom has a large double bed (220x180cm) with two comfortable mattresses and a large wardrobe. The bathroom (designed by an architect and newly placed in 2014-2015) has a spacious bath (185x85cm), a large rain shower, a toilet and underfloor heating.
At the rear of the first floor is the second bedroom with large dormer windows. There is also a landing with a deep built-in closet and a large Velux window. Both the second bedroom and the landing have a wooden oak floor.

Second floor/attic:
On the bright attic are the HR-boiler (installed in 2013, CW 6 class) and a spacious desk, where it’s possible to work or study quietly. There is plenty of storage space. The attic does have a newly placed big Velux window (does not show in pictures), but does not have a door (could easily be placed and turned into an extra spacious bedroom).

The very sunny backyard (with a lot of birds) can also be reached via the back (also with bike / motorcycle). It’s facing the west and adjacent to a ditch (with lots of big carp). On the other side of the ditch is the beautiful farmhouse "Landlust". In the backyard is a large shed. The backyard has plenty of privacy, because of the large plot and the surrounding of the adjacent houses with gardens.

The house is unique and so close to Amsterdam!
The location of the house is excellent, just steps away from the river Bullewijk, in a lovely quiet street with similar characteristic pre-war homes. This part of Ouderkerk and especially this street reflects the village feeling one gets when one thinks of an authentic, old-fashioned, cozy and congenial beautiful village. The small mall Sluisplein and an elementary school are a very short walk away. The shops and restaurants etc. in the picturesque tranquil village are also within short walking distance (7-10 minutes).

Ouderkerk aan de Amstel is an ideal base for numerous highways (A9 A10en A2). A super-fast bus from Amsterdam Bijlmer to Haarlem (via Amstelveen, Schiphol, Hoofddorp) stops in Ouderkerk and connects you to the metro lines and bus stations. Also by bike you can reach the centre of Amsterdam easily (10km, along the Amstel River).
In the vicinity there are numerous recreational opportunities: the Ouderkerkerplas, Amstel River and Bullewijk, various sports clubs, tennis courts and within ten minutes several golf courses. The Arena is just a short bike ride away.
